REYNOLDSON — I’ve doing a plodding scan of old family pictures for my mother. Most are pretty standard family snapshots, but these seemed different.
Mom’s dad (Bill Gray) loved everything country. He was raised Hertford, NC and moved to Norfolk, VA to go to work when he was a teen. These pictures are from a couple of hog killings about 1940.
The place is Cedar Lawn, Edna Smith Gray’s, my grandmother, family home in the Reynoldson community, near Gates, NC.
