RALEIGH, NC -- My birthday has long fallen during North Carolina’s Agricultural Fair. Some years back I got in the habit of going as part of my birthday, got a little away from it, started again when the kids were small, and came back to it again for its richness in photographic subjects. It can’t be beaten for characters per cubic yard. These photos are from my October visit this year.
